Are you interested in learning more about Pickleball or in joining the SCOV Pickleball Club? If you are a SCOV resident (part or full time) come see what the excitement is all about!
Pickleball is a cross between tennis and ping pong. It is played on a badminton size court (one fourth the size of a tennis court) with a low net. Pickleball paddles look like oversize ping pong paddles made of graphite or composite. The balls are hollow plastic with holes in them, similar to Wiffle balls.
Pickleball is easy to learn and a lot of fun to play. If you are brand new to the game we offer a beginner’s clinic (and provide loaner racquets and balls) at no cost to SCOV residents wanting to learn about pickleball and our club.
For more information on joining the SCOV Pickleball Club, please contact Dave Burnham (dburnhampton@gmail).
Annual Membership dues are $10.00 per person via credit card or debit card, payable when you join.
- New members will be contacted to arrange our mandatory Club Orientation and, if needed, the Beginner’s Lesson 1.
- Download our New Member Orientation Packet by clicking here and bring it with you to the orientation session.
All new members are required to attend a short (15 to 20 minute) orientation on club policies and procedures and if needed, a beginner’s clinic is offered to teach you the basics of playing pickleball. The clinic generally lasts about 60 minutes. The Training Coordinator will contact you to arrange the orientation and clinic. If you don’t yet have a paddle, we have some for you to use during the orientation.
The SCOV PIckleball Club is a social/recreational club of Sun City Oro Valley located in Oro Valley, Arizona.
